Sean sentenced to 3 years in jail

Sean Turnell was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment today by Myanmar’s military junta in a secret trial that has been described as “an outright sham” by Amnesty International Australia Impact Director Tim O’Connor.

Sean is accused of breaking the Official Secrets Act, which carries the maximum sentence of 14 years in prison. He is being jailed along with ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
